Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions
Terms governing participation in the WebOps Hosting affiliate referral program.
1 Program Overview
Welcome to the WebOps Hosting Affiliate Program! This document outlines the terms and conditions for participation. By joining our affiliate program, you agree to comply with these terms in addition to our General Terms and Conditions.
The program allows approved partners to earn commissions by referring new customers to WebOps Hosting. We value our partners and aim to foster a mutually beneficial relationship through transparent and ethical business practices.
2 Commission Structure
Affiliates are compensated based on a structured commission model designed to reward successful referrals.
- Commission Rate: Affiliates earn 15% of qualifying purchases made by referred customers, including every renewal, for the lifetime of the referred account.
- Qualifying Purchases: Hosting plans and plan upgrades, before tax. Domain registrations and renewals, add-ons and setup fees do not earn commission.
- Minimum Payout: A minimum balance of $50.00 USD must be accumulated before a payout can be processed.
- Holding Period: There is a 30-day commission delay from the date of the qualifying purchase to account for potential refunds or chargebacks.
3 Eligibility Requirements
To participate in the WebOps Hosting Affiliate Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have an active WebOps account in good standing.
- Must provide accurate and verifiable contact and payment information.
WebOps reserves the right to accept or reject any affiliate application at our sole discretion. We evaluate applications to ensure alignment with our brand values.
4 Commission Payment Terms
We strive to ensure timely and accurate payment of earned commissions.
- Tracking: Referrals and commissions are recorded in your affiliate dashboard. We enter them each month from the invoices your referred clients have paid.
- Processing: Commissions are paid out after the mandatory 30-day holding period.
- New Account Hold: Commission on a referred account’s payments is released once the account has been active and in good standing for 90 days. After that, each payment is held 30 days.
- Account Status: The referred account must remain active and in good standing at the time of payout.
- Threshold: Payouts are only issued once the minimum threshold of $50.00 USD is reached.
- Department: All payouts are processed through our billing department via supported payment methods.
- Referrals Won Against These Terms: A referral won in breach of section 5 or 6 earns no commission. Commission already paid on it may be deducted from your future payouts.
- Accounts Closed for Misuse: If we suspend or close a referred account for misuse, including any use of software or licenses we provide outside our platform, it earns no further commission, and unpaid commission on it is cancelled.
5 Affiliate Responsibilities
As an affiliate, you are an ambassador for the WebOps Hosting brand. You must adhere to the following responsibilities:
- Lead with the service. Describe what WebOps does for a client (managed updates, backups, security, reliability, and people who know the site) in your own words, using the facts published on webops.host.
- Use your referral link as we issue it. If you use the WebOps name or logo, use the versions we supply, unaltered.
- If you are unsure whether a claim or an offer is allowed, ask us at affiliates[at]webops.host before you publish it.
- Maintain full transparency about your affiliate relationship (e.g., proper FTC disclosures).
- Avoid any misleading practices, false claims, or deceptive advertising regarding our services.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in your marketing efforts.
6 Prohibited Activities
Engaging in any of the following activities will result in immediate termination from the program and forfeiture of unpaid commissions:
- Spamming or unauthorized email marketing (violating CAN-SPAM or similar laws).
- Misrepresenting WebOps Hosting services, pricing, or features.
- Offering premium plugins, themes or licenses, or anything described as free, as a reason to sign up, or quoting the retail price or value of any plugin or theme included with our plans.
- Advertising any price, discount, coupon, trial or offer that WebOps has not published on webops.host.
- Offering the referred client cash back, a rebate, a gift, or any share of your commission.
- Promoting WebOps on coupon, deal, voucher, cashback, freebie, “nulled” software or GPL-club sites, or through incentivized traffic such as paid-to-click, rewards or traffic-exchange schemes.
- Using WebOps trademark terms, variations, or misspellings in domain names or paid search advertising (e.g., bidding on “WebOps Hosting”).
- Creating fake accounts, self-referrals, or generating fraudulent referrals.
Fraudulent activity is strictly prohibited. We routinely audit affiliate accounts and will permanently ban individuals found violating these terms.
7 Program Modifications
WebOps Hosting may modify the terms, commission rates, or overall program structure at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or an announcement in the affiliate dashboard. Your continued participation in the program following any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
