Understanding Emergency Maintenance
We plan most system updates for scheduled maintenance windows, but sometimes immediate action is required to protect our hosting infrastructure and your services. Emergency maintenance covers critical system-wide updates or security patches that cannot wait for a scheduled window. Our Service Level Agreement allows us to perform it without prior notice when an immediate threat to server security, data integrity or network stability is detected.
What Triggers Emergency Maintenance

- Critical Security Patches: Zero-day vulnerabilities requiring immediate action
- Infrastructure Issues: Hardware or network components requiring urgent attention
- Performance Degradation: Sudden system-wide performance issues requiring immediate resolution
- Third-party Service Updates: Critical updates from our infrastructure providers
How We Handle It
1. Assessment and Planning
- Rapid evaluation of the situation by our technical team
- An immediate action plan
- Identification of affected services
- Risk assessment and mitigation planning
2. Implementation
- Rapid deployment of required updates
- Monitoring of system responses while the work is in progress
- Immediate response to any complications
3. After the Work

- System verification and performance checks
- Preventive measures where applicable
What You Can Expect
- Minimal service interruption whenever possible
- A post on our status page, webopshosting.statuspage.io, which we update by hand, so it can lag behind a problem. If you subscribe to its notices, use an email address outside WebOps: during an email outage, notices sent to a WebOps-hosted mailbox may not reach you.
- Access to our support team for questions, with Priority 1 emergencies answered 24/7
- If an outage affected your site, we will tell you what happened and when service was restored
