This is a plain-language summary of our Affiliate Program Terms. If anything here differs from the terms, the terms apply.
Who can join
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have an active WebOps account in good standing.
- Your contact and payment details are accurate.
We review every application by hand and may accept or reject any application.
What you earn
- 15% of qualifying purchases by the clients you refer, including every renewal, for the life of their account.
- Qualifying purchases are hosting plans and plan upgrades, before tax. Domain registrations and renewals, add-ons and setup fees do not earn commission.
- We enter commissions in your Affiliate Area each month, from the invoices your referred clients have paid.
Holds and payouts
- Commission on a referred account’s payments is released once the account has been active and in good standing for 90 days.
- After that, each payment is held 30 days, to cover refunds and chargebacks.
- The referred account must still be active and in good standing when we pay.
- We pay once your balance reaches $50 USD, by PayPal or by wire in USD.
How to promote WebOps
- Lead with the service: what WebOps does for a site owner, in your own words, using the facts published on webops.host.
- Say that you earn a commission.
- Use your referral link as we issue it, and our name and logo unaltered.
- If you are unsure whether a claim or an offer is allowed, ask us before you publish it.
What is not allowed
- Offering premium plugins, themes or licenses, or anything described as free, as a reason to sign up, or quoting the price of any plugin or theme included with our plans.
- Advertising a price, discount, coupon, trial or offer we have not published.
- Giving the referred client cash back, a gift, or a share of your commission.
- Promoting WebOps on coupon, deal, cashback, freebie, “nulled” or GPL-club sites, or through paid-to-click or other incentivized traffic.
- Spam, misleading claims, bidding on our name in search ads, self-referrals and fake accounts.
What happens if the rules are broken
- A referral won against these rules earns no commission, and commission already paid on it may be taken from your future payouts.
- If we suspend or close a referred account for misuse, including using software or licenses we provide outside our platform, it earns no further commission.
- Any activity in the list above ends your partner account, and unpaid commission is forfeited.
Changes to the program
We may change the terms, rates or structure of the program. We will tell you about significant changes by email or in your Affiliate Area. Read the full Affiliate Program Terms and our General Terms and Conditions for the complete details.
