Why We Love Independent Analytics

We chose this plugin for two main reasons, both designed to improve your service:

1. Simple, Privacy-Friendly Stats

Many of our clients are busy marketers and designers who just want to know how their site is performing without digging through complex reports. Independent Analytics is perfect for this. At a glance, you can see:

  • How many visitors your site gets
  • Which of your pages or posts are most popular
  • Where your traffic is coming from (Google, Facebook, email campaigns, etc.)
  • How well your marketing campaigns are performing
  • Which forms are getting the most submissions

It's a "privacy-first" tool, meaning it doesn't collect personal data or use cookies, which is great for GDPR compliance and user trust.

2. Pro Features Included

You're getting the Pro version of Independent Analytics, which includes powerful features like:

  • Campaign tracking - See which marketing efforts are actually driving traffic
  • Click tracking - Monitor downloads, outbound links, and affiliate links
  • Form tracking - Automatically tracks submissions from Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, and 20+ other plugins
  • WooCommerce integration - Track sales, revenue, and which campaigns drive purchases
  • Custom dashboards - Build personalized overview screens with the metrics that matter to you
  • Real-time monitoring - See who's on your site right now
  • Email reports - Get automated analytics summaries delivered to your inbox

These Pro features normally cost $49/year per site, but they're included at no extra charge with your WebOps hosting.

Modern Hosting Plans Based on Real Usage

This plugin also helps us modernize our hosting plans to make them fairer and more sustainable.

Traditionally, hosting plans have been based on storage and bandwidth. However, as we make heavy use of modern technologies like the QUIC.Cloud Content Delivery Network (CDN), "server bandwidth" is no longer an accurate metric. The CDN serves a huge portion of your website's traffic from servers all over the world, making your site incredibly fast—but those visits don't use your main server's bandwidth.

To reflect this modern reality, we're transitioning our hosting plans to be based on storage and total website visitors. Independent Analytics gives us a clear and accurate way to measure visitor traffic, ensuring our plans are priced fairly based on the actual resources your site uses—not an outdated metric.

We're On It!

This is all part of our "Done For You" promise. You don't need to do anything to set this up, manage it, or even understand it. It's just one more way we're working behind the scenes to provide you with a fast, reliable, and modern hosting platform.

Of course, you don't even need to look at your analytics dashboard if you don't want to. As always, if you want to know how your site is performing, just ask us and we'll happily pull a report for you!
