This SSL Certificate Services Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between Ryan Davis, LLC, trading as WebOps Hosting ("WebOps Hosting", "we", "us", or "our"), and the customer ("you" or "your"). This Agreement governs your purchase and use of SSL Certificate services ("Services") provided by WebOps Hosting.
WebOps Hosting offers SSL Certificate services that provide encryption for data transmitted between your website and its visitors. The Services include the issuance, renewal, and management of SSL Certificates from recognized Certificate Authorities (CAs).
Upon your request and subject to payment of applicable fees, WebOps Hosting will facilitate the issuance of an SSL Certificate by a third-party Certificate Authority. You are required to provide accurate and complete information during the SSL Certificate application process. The issuance of the SSL Certificate is subject to approval by the CA, and WebOps Hosting does not guarantee that a certificate will be issued.
WebOps Hosting offers assistance with the installation of SSL Certificates on your server, provided that you have purchased this service. Installation services may include configuring your server to use the SSL Certificate and ensuring that your website is accessible via HTTPS. You are responsible for ensuring that your server environment is compatible with the SSL Certificate and that any necessary configurations are completed.
SSL Certificates have a fixed validity period, typically ranging from one to two years. WebOps Hosting will notify you before your SSL Certificate expires and provide options for renewal. It is your responsibility to ensure that the SSL Certificate is renewed before it expires. Failure to renew the SSL Certificate may result in your website becoming inaccessible or displaying security warnings to visitors.
An SSL Certificate may be revoked by the issuing Certificate Authority under certain circumstances, including but not limited to:
If your SSL Certificate is revoked, WebOps Hosting will notify you and provide guidance on obtaining a new certificate. WebOps Hosting is not responsible for any damages or disruptions caused by the revocation of an SSL Certificate.
To ensure the effectiveness of the SSL Certificate services, you agree to:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebOps Hosting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the SSL Certificate services, including but not limited to loss of business, revenue, profits, or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Services in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time by providing 30 days' written notice to the other party. WebOps Hosting may also terminate this Agreement immediately if you breach any of the terms of this Agreement or fail to pay the applicable fees. Upon termination, any active SSL Certificates may be revoked, and you will remain responsible for any fees due through the termination date.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
