A new addon is live for WebOps hosting customers: Speed Optimization at $25 per month, layered on top of the conservative LiteSpeed Cache baseline that every site we host already includes. It is active per-site tuning for the customers who need their WordPress sites to score higher than the universally-safe defaults can deliver.

Why Speed Optimization?

Every site we host already gets a careful performance baseline: page caching, browser caching, image lazy-loading and WebP conversion, minified JavaScript and CSS, deferred non-critical scripts, HTTP/3 transport, and per-site Redis-backed object caching. That baseline lands most WordPress sites between 70 and 90 on Lighthouse, which is solid for the majority of business websites.

The gap is the last 30 Lighthouse points. Closing it is site-specific work, not a setting we can flip the same way across every site we host. The same LiteSpeed Cache option that gains 59 points on a content-only homepage can lose 31 points on an Elementor build with a hero slider. Universal defaults cannot solve this. Per-site measurement and tuning can.

What's Included Each Month

  • 3-run PageSpeed Insights median. Captured on a stable URL of your site, so the number reflects what visitors actually experience and not a single noisy sample.
  • Per-cycle configuration tweaks. Critical CSS, JavaScript deferral, Guest Mode, image policy, Object Cache TTL, and whichever other knobs fit your stack, tested in isolation and validated against the measurement.
  • Post-update regression check. After every plugin or theme update inside the cycle, we re-measure. A cache-hash desync or a builder template change does not get to quietly walk the score back down.
  • Plain-language monthly report. What we measured, what we changed, what moved, and what is still in play for next cycle. Written for a business owner, not a developer.

Who This Is For

Speed Optimization is for the customers whose business depends on page speed as a measurable metric: checkout conversion on a WooCommerce store, ad revenue on an ad-supported site, organic search ranking on a competitive keyword, or any context where shaving seconds off a page load translates into dollars. If you are not sure whether your site falls into that category, ask us and we will tell you honestly. Most sites do not need this addon, and the baseline is doing real work already.

What's Not Included

This addon covers optimization of your existing WordPress site as it is built today. It does not include theme rewrites, plugin replacements, page-builder migrations, or development work to remove heavy widgets and rebuild sections. When those changes would unlock significantly better scores, we will say so in the monthly report and quote that work separately.

Pricing and full details are at webops.host/speed-optimization. Background on why no single cache setting is right for every WordPress site is on the blog: +59 Points On One Site. -31 On The Other. Same Setting. To add Speed Optimization to your account, or to ask whether it is the right fit for your site, send us a note.
