Your Independent Analytics Pro includes a powerful Overview Report that lets you create a custom dashboard showing exactly the metrics that matter most to your business. Instead of jumping between different reports, you can see everything in one place.
What is the Overview Report?
The Overview Report is like your personal command center for analytics. It displays data from all your saved reports in customizable modules—think of them as dashboard widgets you can arrange however you like.
You can display your data in different ways: pie charts, line graphs, top-ten lists, and more. The report updates hourly automatically, so you always have fresh insights.
Getting to the Overview Report
From your WordPress admin, click Analytics in the sidebar, then click Overview in the top menu. This is a Pro feature that's already activated on your WebOps Hosting site.
Adding Your First Module
Modules are the building blocks of your Overview Report. Here's how to add one:
- Scroll to the bottom of the Overview Report
- Click the Add Module button
- Choose from 10 different module types (explained below)
- Configure what data you want to see
- Click Add Module to save it
You can also click the Add Module button in the toolbar at the top, which automatically scrolls you to the bottom.
The 10 Module Types
Each module type displays your data differently. Choose the one that best fits what you're tracking:
1. Quick Stats
Shows summary numbers like total visitors, views, and bounce rate—great for seeing performance at a glance.
2. Line Chart
Displays trends over time. Perfect for watching traffic growth or spotting patterns in your data.
3. Pie Chart
Shows proportions visually. Ideal for seeing what percentage of traffic comes from different sources.
4. Bar Chart
Compares different items side by side. Good for ranking pages or comparing traffic sources.
5. Top 10 List
Lists your top items with key metrics. Use this to quickly see your most popular pages or best referrers.
6. World Map
Shows where your visitors are located geographically. Great for understanding your audience reach.
7. Table

8. Single Stat
Highlights one important number. Perfect for tracking your most critical metric.
9. Comparison
Compares two time periods. Use this to see if you're improving month over month.
10. New vs. Returning
Shows the split between new and returning visitors. Helps you understand audience loyalty.
