Monitor Your Spam Filtering with Real-Time Alerts
The Gravity Forms Spam Notification add-on provides critical visibility into your form security. By default, spam filters like OOPSpam work silently in the background, which is great for keeping your inbox clean—but what if a legitimate lead gets caught by mistake?
This lightweight utility ensures you never miss an important message by sending you a notification whenever an entry is marked as spam. It acts as a safety net for your lead generation forms.
Why Use This Add-On?
- Catch False Positives: Immediately identify if a real customer inquiry was incorrectly flagged as spam.
- Monitor Attack Spikes: Be alerted to sudden surges in spam activity on your site.
- Peace of Mind: Trust your spam filters without worrying about "silent" data loss.
How It Works
Once activated, the add-on monitors the spam status of all Gravity Forms entries. If an entry fails the OOPSpam check or the Honeypot validation:
- The entry is marked as "Spam" in your database (as usual).
- New Action: The add-on triggers a specific email notification to the site administrator (or any configured email address).
- You can review the entry contents directly from the email to determine if it's genuine.
Configuration
There are no complex settings screens. The notifications use your form's existing notification settings but only trigger on specific events.
To customize who receives these alerts, you can use the standard Gravity Forms notification filters or ask our support team to route them to a dedicated "Spambox" email address to keep your main inbox clutter-free.
