Who this is for

Handoff Build is a trade service. We sell it to agencies, designers and resellers who are building a website for a client of their own. If you are the eventual owner of the site, this is not the service you want, and we will say so rather than take the order.

If that is you: you draw it, we build it, you hand it to your client under your own name. We never appear in front of them.

What you send us

A design, in whatever form you already produce: a code export, a design canvas, a Figma or Sketch file, a PDF, a set of screens, or an existing site to match. Plus a page list saying what each page has to do, including anything that is a collection of records rather than a fixed layout.

What you get back

A finished production WordPress site on Elementor Pro, Gravity Forms and Advanced Custom Fields Pro, hosted here. We do not deploy the output of whatever tool drew your design. We rebuild it as native WordPress, so that afterwards an ordinary WordPress person can edit it, extend it and maintain it without needing us or the tool that made it.

That rebuild is the whole service.

The Handoff Standard

Every build is produced to the Handoff Standard, a published definition of what makes a website transferable. It sets out seven criteria: sole control of accounts, content that is edited rather than regenerated, a legible structure, dependencies anyone can buy on ordinary terms, no trace of the generator in the delivered site, portability, and one page of successor documentation.

It also defines a five-minute acceptance test. Somebody who did not build the site logs in and, without code, without AI, without documentation and without asking the builder, edits a headline, replaces an image, and moves one section above another. If that takes longer than five minutes, the site is not finished.

We run that test before we call a build done, and we hand you the record of it: what was changed, where, and how long it took. There is no badge and nothing to buy. The test takes five minutes and needs no expertise, so you can run it yourself on what we give back, and so can your client.

Tiers and line items

Three fixed prices, each with a page limit and a separate limit on functionality. Work above either limit is a separately priced line item, agreed before we do it. It does not silently promote your order to the next tier.

Software licences

The premium plugins in your build run on our agency licences and are included at no extra cost while the site is hosted here. They are not yours or your client's to keep: if the site moves away, the owner buys their own licences, or we transfer whatever the vendor allows us to transfer. Each of those products is sold publicly at a published price to anyone, which is what keeps the site transferable.

How to start

Send us the design and the page list. Where the design is complete we aim to come back with a fixed price within a business day. Where it is incomplete we tell you what is missing rather than quoting around it.
