Manual Email Client Configuration

This guide provides detailed manual setup instructions for configuring your email account across various email clients. Use these settings if automatic configuration fails or you prefer manual setup.

Universal Server Settings

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP)

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 993
  • Security: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication: Normal Password
  • Username: Your full email address

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 465
  • Security: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication: Normal Password
  • Username: Your full email address

Client-Specific Setup Instructions

Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Open Thunderbird
  2. Select Menu → Account Settings → Account Actions
  3. Click "Add Mail Account"
  4. Enter your name, email address, and password
  5. Click "Configure manually"
  6. Enter the server settings as listed above
  7. Click "Done" to complete setup

Microsoft Outlook

  1. Open Outlook
  2. File → Add Account
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Choose "Advanced options" → "Let me set up my account manually"
  5. Choose IMAP
  6. Enter server settings as listed above

Gmail (Android)

  1. Open Gmail app
  2. Tap profile picture → Add another account → Other
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Choose "Personal (IMAP)"

  8. Complete setup

Apple Mail (macOS)

  1. Open Mail app
  2. Click Mail → Add Account in the menu bar
  3. Select "Other Mail Account" and click "Continue"
  4. Enter your name, email address, and password
  5. When automatic setup fails, enter the server settings listed above
  6. Click "Sign In" to complete setup

iOS Mail

  1. Open Settings → Mail → Accounts
  2. Tap Add Account → Other → Add Mail Account
  3. Enter your name, email, password
  4. Tap Next
  5. Select IMAP
  6. Enter incoming and outgoing server settings
  7. Tap Save

Windows Mail

  1. Open Windows Mail app
  2. Click Settings (gear icon) → Manage Accounts
  3. Click "Add account" → "Advanced setup" → "Internet email"
  4. Enter your details and server settings as listed above
  5. Enable SSL for both incoming and outgoing servers
  6. Click "Sign in" to complete setup

Airmail (iOS/macOS)

  1. Open Airmail
  2. Tap menu icon → Accounts → Add Account
  3. Select "Other"
  4. Enter your email address
  5. Choose IMAP
  6. Enter server settings as listed above
  7. Tap "Done" to complete setup

Spark (iOS/macOS/Android)

  1. Open Spark
  2. Tap "Add Account"
  3. Choose "Other"
  4. Enter your email address
  5. Select "Manual Setup"
  6. Enter server settings as listed above
  7. Tap "Done" to finish setup
