WebOps Hosting maintains agency licenses for the premium themes and plugins your site uses, and we handle support for them on your behalf. When something breaks, you do not contact the plugin developer, you do not file a license ticket, and you do not have to figure out which vendor owns the problem. You open one ticket with us, and we own the resolution from start to finish.
How Premium Plugin Support Usually Works (Without Us)
If you bought your own premium plugin license, the support process looks like this:
- Something breaks on your site
- You try to figure out which plugin is causing it
- You log into the plugin vendor's support portal (different account from your hosting)
- You file a ticket, often with a 24-72 hour first-response SLA
- The vendor asks for your site URL, admin login, license key, error logs, plugin versions, and a list of other plugins you have installed
- You collect those, send them, wait, get a clarifying question, send more, wait again
- If the vendor concludes it's a conflict with another plugin, the cycle restarts with that vendor
- Eventually someone owns the fix, or it gets bounced indefinitely
This is a lot of work, most of it not your job, and the loop can take days. The result is sites that quietly stay broken because the friction of getting help is higher than the cost of just leaving it alone.
How It Works With Us
Single workflow:
- You email us or open a ticket: "the booking form on my Crocoblock listing pages stopped working"
- We investigate, identify which plugin is causing it, check our internal notes for known issues, and try the obvious fixes
- If it is a vendor-side bug, we contact the developer ourselves, using our agency license and existing relationship with their support team
- We translate vendor responses into business-relevant updates ("they confirmed a bug in version 3.2.1, expecting a fix within 5 days, here's the workaround in the meantime")
- When the fix lands, we apply it, verify your site works, and close the ticket
You did one thing: tell us what was wrong. That is the workflow we have built.
What This Actually Covers
Our premium-plugin support extends to:
- Plugins and themes we install by default: GreenShift, Astra, Elementor Pro, Code Snippets Pro, Crocoblock JetEngine, Gravity Forms with all add-ons, AffiliateWP, WP All Import / Export Pro, NinjaFirewall, OOPSpam, and the rest of the standard WebOps stack
- Visual / layout issues: a slider stopped sliding, a Crocoblock listing renders broken, a Gravity Forms field is misaligned, a theme update changed your typography
- Functionality problems: a form stopped sending email, a payment gateway is rejecting transactions, a search is returning the wrong results, a custom post type query stopped working
- Update conflicts: a plugin update breaks a feature, two plugins now conflict where they didn't before, a theme update overrides custom CSS
- Performance issues: a plugin is suddenly slow, a query is timing out, an admin page is unresponsive
- Compatibility questions: "if I add this plugin to my site, will it conflict with what I already have?"
- License problems: handled invisibly because the licenses are ours, not yours
Where We Have to Hand Off
Some things sit outside our scope and we will be upfront about that:
- Custom plugins or themes you brought yourself: we'll do best-effort triage, but if a freelancer wrote a custom plugin specifically for your site, the original developer is the right escalation path. We can help find them or coordinate with them, but we don't take over support for code we did not write.
- Feature requests: "I wish this plugin also did X" is not a support issue, it is a development project. Our Content Operations team can scope custom development if you want a feature added.
- Configuration choices: setting up a complex Crocoblock query or Gravity Forms conditional logic is design/build work, not troubleshooting. Same path: handle it yourself, ask your designer, or hire our Content Operations team for a setup project.
Why This Matters Practically
Most clients underestimate how often premium plugin issues come up until they don't have to deal with them anymore. Three or four times a year, a plugin update introduces a regression. Once or twice a year, a plugin and theme combination develops a new conflict. Once or twice a year, a license server goes down or a vendor's auto-update mechanism breaks.
Without managed support, each of those is a half-day of your time. With it, each is a 30-second message to us. The difference compounds: ten clients with five issues a year is fifty hours of saved work, plus the implicit value of issues actually getting fixed instead of being deferred.
Update Schedule
Plugin and theme updates are applied on a managed cycle, with backups taken before each one. Updates are generally rolled out outside of business hours so disruption is minimized if anything goes wrong. Critical security patches are applied as soon as they ship, regardless of schedule.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have my own license for these plugins?
The agency license is ours, but it covers your site as long as you are with us. If you ever leave WebOps, we will help you transition to your own license at that point. While you are with us, license management is invisible.
What if I want to use a plugin you don't already license?
We can usually add it. Some premium plugins offer agency tiers we don't currently maintain, and we evaluate each one based on client demand. If it's something most clients would benefit from, we will likely buy in. If it's specific to your site, you would purchase the license and we would still help with troubleshooting.
How long does a vendor-side fix usually take?
Highly variable. Critical bugs often get patched in days. Edge-case issues can take weeks. We push for fast resolution and translate vendor SLAs into clear status updates so you always know where things stand.
Can I open a ticket directly with the plugin developer?
You can, but you don't need to, and they may not respond as quickly to an end-user ticket as they do to an agency partner. We recommend going through us first for that reason.
